We started our journey working for various training providers, delivering, vocational rail and safety training across the UK. Over time, we saw first-hand what worked—and what didn’t. We knew we could offer something better: more accessible, more affordable, and more focused on real outcomes.

That’s when we launched Athena Rail, partnering with academic organisations like Stockton Riverside College to support their rail provision and help learners build careers in the industry.

As demand grew and our services expanded beyond rail into broader workplace and compliance training, we knew it was time to evolve. That’s how Athena Skills Academy was born—a name that reflects who we are today: a forward-thinking, people-focused training provider helping individuals, colleges, and businesses move forward with confidence.
